On June 13, 2026, Oberdürnbach invites you to a special concert experience: Under the theme “Gottfried Meets Jazz,” the traditional Gottfried von Einem and Lotte Ingrisch Festival will, for the first time, combine classical music with jazz and improvisation. On November 21 and 22, 2026, the historic downtown area of Eggenburg will be transformed into a festive Advent setting. Admission is free.
Around the main square, visitors can enjoy a diverse Advent market featuring regional handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations, pastries, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine. A varied program of events—including concerts, readings, workshops, and craft demonstrations—creates a special atmosphere both outdoors and in the historic indoor spaces.
On Sunday, the popular themed city tours titled “Christmas in the Middle Ages” will also take place.
