The unique special exhibition “CRYSTAL SKULLS – Keys to Hidden Worlds?” is now open. The world’s largest crystal skull exhibition to date follows in the footsteps of the Maya and features over 30 breathtaking exhibits from various cultures—from South America to Central Europe, Tibet, and India. You can also marvel at one of only 30 original and certified stills from the legendary “Indiana Jones” series starring Harrison Ford. Discover the secret power of the crystal skulls up close!
Other highlights of the Amethyst Welt for families, include the famous Treasure Hunters' Field and the covered gold panning facility . Visitors of all ages to Amethyst Welt try their luck at prospecting and gold panning here. Immerse yourself in the world of precious stones!
Our large new water play area (the water is currently turned off) provides a cool change, especially on hot days. The many trees in the park guarantee shade. The water feature is closed during the winter months.
Austria's first chakra spherical path awaits you here with us. Under the motto "Get your energy rolling", you can play through the seven stations that lead through our amethyst park. At the end, you will find out which is your personal lucky stone for the day.

A colorful program in the historic downtown area
On November 21 and 22, 2026, the historic downtown area of Eggenburg will be transformed into a festive Advent setting. Admission is free.
Around the main square, visitors can enjoy a diverse Advent market featuring regional handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations, pastries, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine. A varied program of events—including concerts, readings, workshops, and craft demonstrations—creates a special atmosphere both outdoors and in the historic indoor spaces.
On Sunday, the popular themed city tours titled “Christmas in the Middle Ages” will also take place.
