Friday, August 28, from 3 to 4 p.m.:

“Spider legs and toad droppings…!” Lilith, the far-too-kind witch, ends up in the Amethyst Welt of all places Amethyst Welt draws everyone into her magical antics. Together with the children, she practices for the witch exam, which requires courage, skill, imagination, and magical powers. Along the way, they go on adventures together, brew magic potions, and dance the famous witch’s dance.

A colorful program in the historic downtown area

On November 21 and 22, 2026, the historic downtown area of Eggenburg will be transformed into a festive Advent setting. Admission is free.

Around the main square, visitors can enjoy a diverse Advent market featuring regional handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations, pastries, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine. A varied program of events—including concerts, readings, workshops, and craft demonstrations—creates a special atmosphere both outdoors and in the historic indoor spaces.

On Sunday, the popular themed city tours titled “Christmas in the Middle Ages” will also take place.
