Friday, August 28, from 3 to 4 p.m.:

“Spider legs and toad droppings…!” Lilith, the all-too-lovable witch, ends up at Traun Cultural Castle on Halloween of all days and draws everyone into her magical antics. Together with the children, she practices for the witch exam, which requires courage, skill, imagination, and magical powers. Along the way, they go on adventures together, brew potions, and dance the famous witch’s dance.

BAKABU and the Circus Suitcase

Friday, September 4, from 3 to 4 p.m.: 

BAKABU finds a circus trunk in the attic and sets out to follow in the footsteps of his great-great-great-grandfather, the great Bakabuletti. Together with the children, he discovers the world of the circus, explores the contents of the trunk, and shares his circus skills with everyone. A heartwarming interactive experience filled with music, humor, and imagination that is sure to amaze you.

On November 21 and 22, 2026, the historic downtown area of Eggenburg will be transformed into a festive Advent setting. Admission is free.

Around the main square, visitors can enjoy a diverse Advent market featuring regional handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations, pastries, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine. A varied program of events—including concerts, readings, workshops, and craft demonstrations—creates a special atmosphere both outdoors and in the historic indoor spaces.

On Sunday, the popular themed city tours titled “Christmas in the Middle Ages” will also take place.
